When I moved to California back in 1974, all you could see for miles were strawberry fields.  Since then the farms and fields have diminished.  I wanted to capture this alluring and beautiful, spacious land before long gone.  While gazing upon this field with its precise rows, strong vanishing point and majestic mountain range, I knew this was my next painting.  I had to give justice to the farmers who envisioned such a task.  Strawberry fields was painted in acrylics.
